Bad Boy Fight Shorts Review
I can’t really say I dislike how these shorts look nor can I say I really love how they look either. Bad Boy designed a very basic looking short that can be worn with anything and in any situation. This pair comes in black or white with the logos on the leg and belt line. The logos use a sublimation printing so they will be there for a long time through all sorts of punishment. The nice thing about the shorts being very simple aesthetically is you can wear whatever else you want with it. A loud graphic short might not go with the spats, shirts, and or rash guard.
Let’s get into how they fit for a moment. The size chart is a little annoying to convert cm to inch but wasn’t the end of the world. Once I double checked, I ended up only needing a L for my 32” waist and usually mediums are a perfect fit for me. I feel very confident wearing the shorts, as they didn’t ride up on my as some fight shorts can. This is due to the shorts coming with a hook & loop closure system around the waist of the shorts. The shorts do a have an drawstring but I never found myself using it as the hook & loop worked very well.
I have worn these through hours of all the main combat sports these days; Muay Thai, Boxing, MMA & no gi BJJ. They good news is they have held up amazingly! The only bad news was during no gi, because they are so short they can show a lot of leg. The shorts run closer to mid thigh and also have slits on the side for more flexibility. Just be prepared to throw some spats or vale tudo compression short on underneath and you will be good to go.
All scoring done on a 10 must scoring system.
Overall, these fight shorts are great but can retail at a high cost. If you can snag them on sale for under $30, they become an incredible option. I like these shorts for general training and striking. These shorts work well with any of my regular workouts, boxing, and kickboxing. If you are looking for a pair of shorts that to bolster your fight attire with a decent pair of striking shorts, you can do much worse than these.
